The starting point was large persistent leaks around a failing roof/gully area after previous roofers had attempted repairs. The priority was to correct the issue properly and leave a durable, professional finish.

Challenges
"The main consideration was integrating the new work correctly with the existing property while maintaining weathering, finish and build quality. No unusual additional challenge is recorded for this historic project. Additional project context: QC had successfully used fleece-backed rubber on another section of the building the previous year. For this later gully, a flexible liquid-rubber system was selected because it could be worked more effectively into awkward commercial gutter details and around complex junctions."

- Cut away the failing membrane, thoroughly cleaned and prepared the area and applied a liquid-rubber waterproofing system to specification
- This section was approximately 30 linear metres; a related front gully of approximately 70 linear metres had also been treated and resolved more than a dozen leaks.
